AI-answer readiness
—
Internal structure score — not citation probability.
Answer-first opening +25
Open with a direct, self-contained answer of ~15–60 words that a machine can lift verbatim.
Question-shaped headings +20
Use headings phrased the way people ask (e.g. "How does X work?") so engines match the query.
FAQ / Q&A section +15
Add an FAQ with 3+ real questions and concise answers — prime material for citations and FAQ schema.
Scannable structure (lists/tables) +15
Use lists or a comparison table for steps and comparisons — engines extract structured blocks easily.
Enough depth +15
Aim for 300+ words of genuinely useful, on-topic content so the page reads as authoritative.
Concise sentences +10
Keep average sentence length under ~25 words — short, clear sentences are easier to quote.
What does this checker review?
The checker applies fixed rules to your pasted text. It looks for an opening answer, question-shaped headings, FAQ patterns, lists or tables, text length and concise sentences. A higher score means more of those rules passed; it does not establish that the content is accurate, useful or likely to be cited. It complements a valid llms.txt and structured data from our schema generator.
Review sources and factual claims separately. Test actual visibility using provider-specific responses; this score does not measure crawler access, indexing, rankings or citations.
FAQ
What does the AI-answer readiness score mean?
It's an internal 0–100 text-structure score based on the checker’s rules for opening answers, headings, FAQs, lists, length and readability. It does not query an answer engine, verify facts or estimate citation probability.
Does this tool call an AI model?
No. It runs entirely in your browser using structural heuristics — nothing is uploaded and there's no API. That keeps it free, private, and instant.
How do I improve my score?
Lead with a direct 15–60 word answer, use question-shaped headings, add a real FAQ, include lists or a table, write 300+ useful words, and keep sentences concise. Each is one of the scored checks.
Which engines is this for?
This tool is engine-independent. It checks your pasted text locally and does not test ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google AI Overviews.
