What does this website authority checker show?
This checker presents separate third-party signals: Ahrefs Domain Rating when available, an Open PageRank link-graph score and a Chrome popularity bucket. They describe different datasets. None measures your Google position, guarantees a ranking change or establishes the quality of a specific page.
Read each column separately
Ahrefs Domain Rating uses a 0–100 scale for its backlink-profile metric. When the result is inherited from a root domain, the table identifies that domain; the number is not a measurement of the submitted subdomain’s own backlink profile.
The link-graph column scales the returned Open PageRank value from 0–10 to 0–100 for display. Multiplying by ten does not turn it into Ahrefs DR or Moz DA. Global rank means position in that provider’s dataset, not a search-result position.
The Chrome popularity tier is a bucket from an imported CrUX list. It is not an exact visitor count, a whole-web popularity rank or evidence that a site meets every performance threshold.
Use comparisons as context
Compare the same metric and scope across domains, and check whether values are available and current. A larger number alone does not decide which page will rank for a query. This tool does not list competitors’ referring pages or provide a backlink outreach list.

- Verify redirects, canonical URLs and indexability using page-level evidence.
- Publish useful, accurate content and use internal links where they help readers.
- Review backlink sources in a tool that supplies those records before drawing conclusions from a score.
Single and bulk lookups
Use single-domain mode or submit up to 100 domains in bulk. Results may contain unavailable values for one or more sources. A blank score is not proof of zero links or a reason to buy links.
Where this data comes from
The route requests Ahrefs Domain Rating and Open PageRank data separately and reads popularity buckets from the locally imported CrUX list. Successful Open PageRank responses are cached for up to seven days; source publication dates and cache age can differ. The current Open PageRank integration uses the legacy DomCop endpoint, while its official documentation now describes a replacement service. Availability and migration still need operational verification. This checker does not crawl the submitted site or measure actual search rankings.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good website authority score?
There is no universal threshold that proves ranking ability. Compare the same provider’s metric across relevant domains, keep root-domain and subdomain scope clear, and evaluate page relevance and actual search performance separately.
Is website authority a Google ranking factor?
The displayed third-party scores are not measurements of Google’s internal ranking systems. A provider’s global rank is also not a Google result position. Use these numbers as context rather than as a ranking forecast.
How is this different from Ahrefs DR or Moz DA?
This checker includes Ahrefs DR when available and displays Open PageRank in a separate column. Moz DA is not returned. The providers use different methods and datasets; the numbers are not interchangeable, and this tool does not establish that they agree.
How often does the authority score update?
Our Open PageRank cache retains successful responses for up to seven days. That cache lifetime does not specify when the provider refreshes its link graph. Changes to backlinks may appear at different times in each source.
Why does my domain show no authority score?
A missing score can reflect unavailable configuration, a provider error, quota restrictions or absence from its dataset. It does not prove that your domain has no backlinks. Review source availability and retry before interpreting the result.
Can I check authority for 100 domains at once?
Yes. Bulk mode accepts up to 100 domains, one per line. The table shows the available metrics for each domain; some providers may return no value. The checker does not return a complete backlink inventory.
